Danielle Williams will compete in the 2024 Olympic Games. This will be her first Olympics and she's representing a nation with high expectations — Jamaica.
What she's saying: "There's a joke that if you get a silver or bronze medal, it doesn't really mean much, because all [Jamaica] wants is gold," Williams told reporters Monday.
Catch up quick: The 31-year-old Johnson C. Smith University alumna and two-time world champion is currently ranked fourth in the world in the women's 100-meter hurdles. She is the sixth Olympian who attended Johnson C. Smith.
She recalls taking the No. 7 bus route to go shopping at Northlake Mall and hanging out with friends at the EpiCentre.
