Lost & Found has a new look. The former South End nightclub will reopen on Saturday, Sept. 21 as a neighborhood bar and lounge called Must Be Nice.
Catch up quick: After five years in business, Lost & Found closed in July with plans to open as a neighborhood bar in time for football season.
The vibe: Must Be Nice will be more "casual" and "sports-focused," says owner Orlando Botero, who also owns Broken Promises in South End. It's the kind of place where you can grab a cocktail after work, catch a live DJ on weekends and watch football on Sundays.
What to expect: The updated space has a familiar feel, reminiscent of Lost & Found, but with several new features.
- It now includes a permanent outdoor bar, expanded indoor and outdoor seating areas, and significantly more TVs — including a massive video wall spanning the indoor bar for sports viewing.
- The color scheme has also transformed, shifting from Lost & Found's bright, vibrant neon hues to more earthy tones.
Sip on this: The cocktail menu has nine signature drinks — including a spiced apple gin fizz, smoked old fashioned and a lavender martini.
- There are also N/A offerings, including THC seltzers.
Dig in: Food is a new addition for the sports bar, too. Its menu will focus on flatbreads, pretzels, humus and charcuterie.
What they're saying: "The nightlife industry has changed dramatically over the last 24 months," Botero says. "Everything is leaning more towards the bar atmosphere, so we're just adapting to those trends."
- Botero also says they're looking to take the Lost & Found brand into other markets, like Raleigh and Charleston.
If you go: Must Be Nice will host its grand opening this Saturday at 6pm at 332 W. Bland St.
- After the grand opening, it will open at 5pm on weekdays and from noon to 2am on weekends.
