SWIRL, the locally-owned bakery with build-your-own cupcakes, is closing its Oakhurst location.
Why it matters: When it first opened five years ago, there were lines out the door. But owner Maria Kremer tells Axios that sales have "tanked."
What's next: Kremer is looking for someone to take over the Oakhurst lease. Until then, the shop will only open Saturdays and Sundays 12-10pm.
