Today, Charlotte is sending the U.S. Olympic Women's Field Hockey Team off to the Paris 2024 Olympics with a pep rally.
Why it matters: Charlotte is home to both the Men's and Women's USA Field Hockey National Teams.
What to expect: The event is from 1-2:30pm at Providence Day School.
There'll be a meet and greet with the Olympic team, autographs, face painting for kids, music and entertainment.
Tickets are $24, with proceeds benefiting the team's expenses.
Attendees are encouraged to wear red, white and blue.
What they're saying: "This city has become our second home, and we're honored to represent both Charlotte and the USA on the world stage," team captain Amanda Golini said in a press release.
