More than 45,000 tickets have been sold for tonight's Charlotte FC vs. Inter Miami match at Bank of America Stadium, sources tell Axios.
Why it matters: Charlotte FC has one of the best attendance records in the league and boasts an electric atmosphere.
State of play: Inter Miami will be without superstar Lionel Messi, who is currently playing for Argentina in Copa America, a major international competition.
Charlotte will host a Copa America semifinal and the third-place match next week, meaning Messi may still end up in Charlotte.
