You'll probably recognize Jay Bilas from ESPN, where he's a renowned college basketball analyst. Or on X, where he has 1.8 million followers.
Bilas, a former Duke basketball standout who played under coach Mike Krzyzewski, is also an attorney who lives in Charlotte.
When I chatted with him last month about the success of North Carolina's ACC teams in the Sweet 16, I asked him about how he starts his day. Bilas likes to keep it simple in the mornings.
⏰ Wake up: Around 6 or 7. Depends on the time of year. During the off-season, he likes to sleep a little longer.
👔 First thing he does: Get dressed.
☕️ Breakfast: Just coffee.
🗞️ What he reads: Emails first, then news — mostly The New York Times and The Washington Post. Mostly news that relates to his job.
