Why it matters: The event is a better way to spice up your Friday night than visiting the same 'ol bars or staying home.
How it works: On the first Friday evening of every month, participating galleries stay open to showcase new exhibits and featured artists.
You can make it your own self-guided and self-paced night out. Many of the studios offer free wine to sip while you puruse.
Flashback: Axios' McKenzie Rankin went on March's crawl with Charlotte Center City Partners' South End project manager, Allison Mills, who helps organize the event.
They kicked things off with ceviche and sushi at Muraya before hitting Dilworth Artisan Station, then StudioWorks Gallery and ending the night at Shed Brand Studio.
If you go: The five galleries participating this month are Hodges Taylor, Elder Gallery of Contemporary Art, Dilworth Artisan Station, Shed Brand and StudioWorks Gallery.
