What better place to catch next Monday's solar eclipse than atop an Uptown parking deck?

  • Discovery Place Science and Discovery Place Kids in Huntersville are hosting viewing parties next week with free eclipse glasses and outdoor activities.

Driving the news: Charlotte will experience an 83.4% partial solar eclipse on April 8 from 1:54pm to 4:26pm.

  • It will reach maximum obscurity at 3:11pm.

🌚 Discovery Place Science will have hands-on demonstrations and activities related to sun science starting today.

🔭 Discovery Place Kids – Huntersville is closed on Mondays but will still offer free activities on the museum's parking deck the day of the eclipse. RSVP is required.
