Dos Caminos, a popular Mexican restaurant out of New York, opens today in Uptown, Axios' McKenzie Rankin writes.
What to try: Popular menu items include queso fundido, made-to-order guacamole, fajitas and mole short ribs. Plus there's a Charlotte-specific drink: the Queen City Margarita.
The vibe: Expect a lively Mexican cantina feel. The restaurant accommodates 240 people across its outdoor patio, dining area and private rooms.
If you go: Doors open at 4pm at 601 S. Tryon St., on the ground floor of the Ally Center, near Starbucks and Salata.
Regular hours will be Sunday through Thursday 11am-10pm and Friday-Saturday 11am-11pm. They'll serve a happy hour menu from 3-6pm and 9pm until close Monday through Friday.
