2023 was a record year for passenger traffic at Charlotte Douglas International Airport, Ashley writes.
By the numbers: 53.4 million passengers traveled through the airport last year, airport officials reported this week.
That's 12% more than 2022's 47.8 million and 6.5% more than the previous record of 50.2 million, which was set in 2019.
