Charlotte Douglas International Airport to host TSA PreCheck registration event

Details: The event is for new applicants. It will take place from 9am until noon and 1-5pm daily near Door 1 and Checkpoint A. Appointments will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.

State of play: Charlotte continues to get busier. Nine of the airport’s 10 busiest days ever for front door traffic (people who went through security at the airport) occurred this year, TSA spokesperson Mark Howell tells Axios.

• Airport officials warned security wait times could reach 45 minutes during Thanksgiving travel, even with a newly renovated checkpoint to speed up security.
