“We’ll get you full and wasted for under $25.” That’s what Dish, a long-standing Plaza Midwood restaurant known for its southern comfort food, claims about its new brunch menu, which launched last week.
Why it matters: Affordable brunch is hard to come by these days. Naturally, we decided to fact-check Dish’s claim ourselves. Here’s what we ate and drank, plus how much we paid for each dish and drink.

The verdict: Yes, depending on what you order. And, especially yes, if you’re splitting with friends. If not, you should know, portions are massive, so expect a to-go box (or two or three).
Yes, and: Even if you go over $25, the prices are budget-friendly compared with what your typical brunch bill may run in Charlotte.
Details: Dish is located at 1220 Thomas Ave., next to Thomas Street Tavern.
- Brunch is available 10am-5pm on Saturday and 10am-7pm (all day) on Sunday.
