Rent has increased by hundreds of dollars at most Charlotte apartments in recent years. But there are a few hidden gems around the city that are still relatively affordable.
Why it matters: The average rent in Charlotte is $1,600, but some of the city’s more popular neighborhoods average about $1,900, according to RentCafe.
- The average apartment rent in Dilworth is $1,999, $2,105 in South End and $2,126 in Uptown.
Flashback: We found a range of apartments — studios to two bedrooms — at an average rental rate of $1,200 in 2020 and some in the $1,000 price range in 2021.
