DIY-lovers listen up: Arts+ has a new group art workshop called Gestalt.
It’s a new offering for the Charlotte nonprofit, which works to make arts education available to students of all ages and backgrounds.
How it works: Participants make individual pieces of art that assemble into a larger piece that reveals a cohesive image. It’s inspired by Gestalt theory, a school of thought which emphasizes that the whole of anything is greater than its parts.
Works can be created with paint, oil pastel or collage.
The final artwork can be displayed as a whole or dispersed as separate abstract works.
Details: Gestalt is $30 per person and BYOB-friendly.
Bookings for groups of up to 20 are now open and can be made by emailing[email protected].
Workshops are held at Arts+ Studio — 601 E. 5th St.
