5 things to know about the Charlottean on Zach’s season of The Bachelor
Kylee Russell will soon become a household name when the newest season of The Bachelor airs on ABC on Jan. 23.
What’s happening: She’s one of 30 women on Zach Shallcross’ season. You might remember him from Gabby and Rachel’s season of The Bachelorette.
Why it matters: Charlotte has a number of connections to the Bachelor franchise and our city loves to cheer them on from home. Most recently Hunter Haag repped Charlotte on Bachelor in Paradise and Clayton’s season of The Bachelor before that.
What we know: Russell is a 25-year-old postpartum nurse, according to her profile on The Bachelor’s website.
- She’s a former Hornets Honey Bee.
- Russell competed for the Miss NC USA title and was Miss Cornelius in 2022, Miss Mecklenburg County in 2019 and Miss Cabarrus County in 2018.
- She graduated from Wingate University.
- Her celebrity crush is Jimmy Garoppolo. (Same, girl).
We want to know what Russell’s favorite Charlotte spots are so we slid into her DM’s and are waiting for her to get back to us.
My thought bubble: It feels like Charlotte contestants barely get any air time on the Bachelor. Maybe it’s because they don’t play the typical villain character; they’re classier than that. Here’s hoping Russell makes it past the first episode and at least gets a one-on-one.
