Duckworth’s Grill & Taphouse, a popular restaurant chain in Charlotte, is opening its sixth location, this time in SouthPark.
The new Duckworth’s and The Loft will be where Taco Mac used to be: 4625 Piedmont Row Dr. The Duckworth’s will offer the same menu options as its five other locations.
What to expect: At 12,400 square feet, there are about bout 210 seats downstairs, not including the outdoor patio.
- There are about 40 TVs mounted across the restaurant, facing all directions.
Hours: This week, Duckworth’s will be open 4-11pm Wednesday, 4-midnight Thursday and Friday, 11am-midnight on Saturday, 11am-11pm Sundays.

- In the coming weeks, they’ll increase their hours to include lunch, and eventually, they’ll open every day for lunch and dinner.
Why it matters: The original Duckworth’s in Park Road closed in 2019, after being open for more than a decade. It was one of the top destinations on Montford for years, as one of the first restaurants in the city to offer a wall full of beer taps.
- Since opening that first location in 2004, Duckworth expanded his portfolio to include a speakeasy-type bar in the basement of the Uptown Duckworth’s, and the bar/restaurant Link & Pin.
What’s next: A new cocktail bar called The Loft at Duckworth’s, will open in the same Piedmont Row building at the end of this year or the beginning of next year.
