Kasa Edison House Charlotte recently opened in Dilworth offering 17 uniquely styled stays.
The new property is owned by Adam Williams, a Charlotte local and principal of Legacy Real Estate Advisors, and managed by Kasa Living Inc.
Details: Using modern technology, Kasa Living Inc provides hotel stays with minimal contact with other humans, similar to Airbnb. Even its front desk is virtual.
- Contactless services include check-in, guest support and smart lock building access for safety.
- The property’s smart technology can also detect sound octaves to make sure people adhere to quiet hours.
Design: The interior design of every unit varies in its furniture and decor. They range in style from mid-century modern to eclectic to minimalistic.
- The newly renovated property is fully furnished with high-end appliances and fixtures and custom colorful wallpapers.
- “You can come 17 times and have a different experience,” said Kasa Living market manager Courtney Bouton.
Layout: There are four different floor plans that make up the 17 units. Each comfortably sleeps two people.

- Every unit has one bed, kitchenette and living space. Larger units have separate living spaces and a full kitchen.
- There is one ADA unit that is fully accessible and located on the first floor.
- The hotel does not allow pets but has an exception for service animals.

- Rates range from $116-$125 per night during the week. Expect to pay around $150 per night on the weekends.
Location: ​​At 1921 Charlotte Drive, the hotel is situated relatively close to a park, local shops and restaurants.
- The hotel is within walking distance to Freedom Park and several restaurants.
- Bouton tells us this neighborhood is the ideal location because it gives you a feel of the culture of Charlotte.
- “You know it’s a city but there’s still a charming town vibe as well,” said Bouton.
Zoom out: Kasa Living has about 85 buildings in 24 states across the country.
- “Whether you’re driving from the east coast to the West coast, you can stay at a property Kasa Living manages along the way,” said Bouton.
- There are also two Kasa buildings in Charlotte already but they are more apartment-style.
