Sycamore Brewing will open their new location by the end of the winter, but for now, co-owner Sarah Brigham says they will celebrate with a three-day moving party until they close their current location.
The South End brewery will move into a much larger space right next door to its current property. The new address is 2151 Hawkins St.
What’s happening: The moving party is a three-day event starting Friday, Sept. 30 running through their last day Sunday, Oct. 2.
- The weekend-long event will have two stages for live music that will vary each day.
- Expect a variety of food trucks, fan favorite beers, plus exclusive merchandise and giveaways.
Background: Sycamore was one of the few places to keep staff employed through an ad hoc delivery site during the COVID-19 shutdown in 2020.
- Customers who supported the brewery during that time will receive a VIP invitation to the opening party.
- Anyone can share a special memory made at the brewery over the years by messaging Sycamore on social media for a chance to win a VIP invitation to the opening party.

The new location: The new space will be roughly four times larger than the current taproom.
- An expanded beer garden next to the light rail, a 6,000 square foot second level with a full bar plus a private event space are a few of the ways Brigham hopes will evolve the brand.
- “One of my favorite parts of my job is working on the brand and evolution over the years. It feels like an opportunity to retell our story. We want to bring unique and fun experiences.” Brigham said.
Menu: Options at the new location will include cocktails on tap, food menu, a coffee shop with house roasted coffee and food trucks.
- Over the years they have hosted events with various food vendors, but Brigham tells us she’s thrilled to take another approach.
- “Now we can take full ownership of these events in a really big and new exciting way,” said Brigham.
- In the meantime, you can still have some of the popular beer at pop up beer garden events in the coming months.
What’s next: There are plans to expand Sycamore into other markets even with the current project underway and beer distribution in eight states.
- Brigham tells us that they are actively looking at locations and to expect an announcement by the end of 2023.
