NoDa Company Canteen opens in the BoilerYard of Camp North End Friday, September 9.
What’s happening: Co-founders Scott Lindsley and Joey Hewell expanded the former popular pop up into a larger brick and mortar location.
The space: The new 1,650-square-foot bar has both indoor and outdoor seating.
- The interior features an expansive floating wall with preserved moss art, ferns, mushrooms and other flowers from Savage Way. It’s meant to match Canteen’s “over landscaped” greenery aesthetic.
- Outside you’ll find a front porch with seating that overlooks Camp North End’s Boileryard, which will be perfect for evenings when events are hosted there.

Menu: Drink options include local beers, wine, and sangrias.
- The World Famous NoDaColada which has been a longstanding outpost staple will also be on the menu.
- Frozen beverages, slushies, and other new recipes created specifically for this location will also be served.
- Snacks and apparel will be available for purchase.

The vibe: Lindsley and Hewell designed the space with decor that resembles the original Company Store, but prominently highlights the industrial and historic side of Camp North End.
- A tropical influence will also be at work, which Lindsley refers to as “spiced with a dash of Bali, Roatán and the streets of Charlotte.”
- Hewell created all of the murals and artwork and built the bar and back bar.
- Bar tops and large tabletops were sourced locally from Carolina Urban Lumber.

What’s next: In addition to the brick-and-mortar shop, the Canteen’s kiosk that was originally launched as part of Camp North End’s Friday night programming in 2018 will continue to operate during special events.
- Hours at the brick-and-mortar are Wednesday and Thursday 12-9pm, Friday 12pm-10pm, Saturday 11am-10pm and Sunday 11am-8pm.
