The “forever bracelets” — popular pieces of gold jewelry custom molded to your wrist — that will cost you upwards of $300 in cities like New York and Nashville are now available in Charlotte for a fraction of the price.
Quad Espresso, a jewelry store in Wesley Heights, offers gold-filled welded bracelets starting at $45.
- Gold-filled jewelry is the next step down from solid gold, owner Jennifer Falcon says. “It’s a much more affordable yet still high-quality material,” she adds.
How it works: The thin bracelets are welded onto the wearer’s wrist and can easily be removed with scissors if necessary.
- Appointments can be booked online.
- The appointment will last 20 minutes or less and Falcon highly suggests bringing a friend or two to the appointment. “I want this to be more of like a symbolic thing,” she said, “so you come with a friend or two and be out in 20 minutes.”
- Of note: Falcon asks there be two people per appointment but if you have a larger group, you can all arrive at the same time.
- In addition to the gold-filled bracelets, Falcon also offers solid gold options starting at $17 per inch. For reference, the average wrist circumference is about seven inches.

Details: Quad Espresso is located at 1026 Jay St., inside Not Just Coffee.
- The shop is open Monday through Friday from 10am to 3pm.
- Falcon also hosts bi-monthly weekend events for those who can’t make it to a weekday appointment. She announces weekend events on Instagram.
The name: The name “Quad Espresso” is a nod to the drink Falcon says she needs to start her day — four shots of espresso. She says jewelry offers a similar effect. “Women really need jewelry to finish their outfits; it’s like the exclamation point to their outfit,” she said.
