Super Abari has its soft opening on May 16.
Flashback: Owner Zach Pulliam opened the first Abari concept back in 2015, but by August 2020, at the height of the pandemic, Pulliam announced the permanent closure of his arcade.
- Fast-forward to today, the newest Super Abari will open about 1 mile from the original in the Belmont neighborhood.
What to expect: The nearly 5,000-square-foot space has a bar, a “living room” lounge area and, of course, the main gaming space.
- There are 35 pinball machines, 60 arcade games and what Pulliam proclaims to be the world’s largest playable Nintendo Game Boy.
- Arcade games are $0.25 and pinball games are $0.50.
Food and drink: At the bar, the selection ranges from PBR drafts to top-shelf liquor. Pulliam also says there will be cold brew, root beer, energy drinks and mocktails.
- If you need to refuel, Super Abari and Dukes Bread partnered to serve homemade Hot Pockets.
- Sweet Lou’s Barbecue and Ace #3 are nearby and will deliver online orders placed from Abari.
Hours: Super Abari will be open from 5pm to 2am, Monday through Friday, and noon to 2am, Saturday and Sunday. It’s 21+ except on Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 5pm when the venue is open to all ages with a parent or guardian.
Location: 1015 Seigle Ave., about 1 mile from the original Abari.
