You can live stream “Love is Blind” star Kenny Barnes’ wedding next weekend

Barnes filmed Love is Blind in 2018 and has lived in Charlotte since October 2019. And Garrison, who was not on the Netflix show, has worked at Red Ventures for eight years.

Though neither are originally from here, the couple has a very Charlotte love story.

• They met through Barnes’ sister Anna. He came from Atlanta to Charlotte to help her move, and after five sweaty hours of packing boxes, they went for a beer at Wooden Robot. Garrison, a friend of Anna’s, showed up and the two hit it off immediately, Barnes said.
• Barnes proposed at the Duke Mansion in August 2020.

First date: They did long distance for the first few months while Barnes was still in Atlanta. So for their first date, they met in the middle and went to Asheville to see the Biltmore.

• Barnes originally made a reservation downtown but the hotel double booked their room and transferred them to another hotel off the highway.
• The only room left was a honeymoon suite, Barnes told Axios. You know the kind — with a giant spa tub in the room.
• “I was like, ‘this is such a bad look,'” he said. (Spoiler: It worked out just fine.)

The wedding: Barnes and Garrison are getting married near Richmond, Virginia and will have around 135 in-person guests. Anyone can tune in virtually, though.

• Confetti, a startup wedding streaming service, approached them about live streaming their wedding via a friend. They looked through demos and decided to run with it Barnes said.

• He still has a following from Love is Blind, and liked the idea of fans being able to celebrate with him and Garrison. They also have friends and family that can’t travel but will be able to see it all happen.
• Confetti isn’t paying Barnes and Garrison to use the service, but viewers will be able to send cash gifts to the couple through the service and Confetti takes a portion of whatever is gifted. Plus, celebrity weddings are good exposure for their brand.

What to expect: The ceremony will have four different angles and parts of the reception, like speeches, will also be streamed. Some members of the Love is Blind cast will be tuning in, and other viewers will be able to chat with them online.

What’s next: The wedding starts at 5:30 on April 30. The link to stream will be available the day of through Barnes‘ and Garrison’s Instagram accounts.
