Charlotte Football Club lost its first home match against LA Galaxy on Sunday, 1-0.
- Yes, but: We still had fun. And for the first time in a long time, the city felt alive.
Why it matters: 74,479 people filled a nearly sold-out Bank of America Stadium— an MLS attendance record previously held by Atlanta United. The energy was palpable.
- Plus, Saturday evening was one of a select few nights this season that BofA will open to full capacity (74,867). If you were there, way to be part of Charlotte’s history.
