Love is in the air, and a handful of local restaurants are spreading the warm and fuzzies by offering Valentine’s Day-inspired menus for the occasion.
Here are 10 Valentine’s Day specials to keep in mind:
Valentine’s Day Pop-Up at Backstage Lounge
The South End speakeasy is setting the mood for Valentine’s Day with a selection of festive cocktails and shooters.
On the menu: A few of the cocktails have names that aren’t safe for work, however, the Red Flags cocktail ($11) made with Tanqueray gin, guava, cranberry rose and bubbles sounds like a must-try.

Valentine’s Day at Golden Owl Tavern
Golden Owl Tavern is offering a prix-fixe, three-course dinner for $30 a person.
On the menu: Starters include andouille butter oysters, red beet salad or shaved Brussel sprout salad. For entrées, guests can choose between a truffle stuffed chicken breast with roasted red potatoes and asparagus, roasted lamb chops with southern perloo and pan-seared red snapper with a brown butter cauliflower mash. For dessert, options include a skillet brownie or a cookie.

Weekend of Love at Alchemy at C3 Lab
Alchemy is celebrating Valentine’s Day weekend by offering a special prix-fixe four-course menu (with vegan options) for $95 per person. Prior to or following reservations, guests are encouraged to walk around and enjoy the latest art exhibition, Fractal Energy.
On the menu:
- First Course [choose one] – Lobster bisque or arugula strawberry salad.
- Second Course – Artichoke ceviche.
- Third Course [choose one] – Pan-seared scallops, lamb meatballs and peppers, maple mustard pork tenderloin, beet steak, prime rib.
- Fourth Course [choose one] – Chocolate ravioli, apple walnut rum cake, hazelnut crunch cake, chocolate raspberry bombe.
Details: This dinner special will be offered Feb. 12-14 from 5-10pm.

Steak and Bae bourbon dinner at Billy Sunday
Have a romantic, four-course tasting dinner that includes happy hour cocktails, passed hors d’oeuvres and a guided bourbon tasting for $150 per person.

Valentine’s Day weekend at The Ballantyne Hotel
Festivities include a prix-fixe Valentine’s dinner and sweetheart tea offered through the weekend.
On the menu: Highlights include venison carpaccio Nicoise; confit suckling pig; black truffle 64-degree egg; lobster Thermidor and pasture-raised lamb chop.
Details: Both will be offered Feb. 12-14. The dinner is $125+ per person and will be offered from 5-9pm and the afternoon tea will be $49 for adults, or $64 to include a glass of Champagne and will be offered from 1-4pm.

Valentine’s Brunch & Dinner at Angeline’s
Join Angeline’s for a special Valentine’s four-course Lovers’ Brunch and five-course shareable tasting dinner.
On the brunch menu:
- To start – Red velvet lox; grilled ciabatta, avocado, arugula, basil mascarpone, salmon caviar
- Mid-course – Blood orange French toast bake; Nutella, white chocolate espuma
- Main course [choice of ] – Lobster benedict; English muffin, poached egg, truffle hollandaise or Chicken & waffles; ricotta malt waffle, buttermilk fried drumstick and honey butter
- For dessert: Sweet strawberry cream doughnuts; strawberry glaze and vanilla cream
On the dinner menu:
- First course – Ham & cheese; Stracciatella, Benton’s country ham, Apricot-Pear mostarda with focaccia
- Second course – Charred octopus; carrot Romesco, chicories, Meyer Lemon, Chili Oil
- Third course – Red beet agnolotti; Parmesan brodo, pickled golden beet, bottarga, smoked walnut

Valentine’s Day at Red Salt by David Burke
Treat your Valentine to a special 3-course prix fixe dinner.
On the menu: Expect dishes like lobster dumplings, butter-poached lobster tail and grilled skirt steak and warm chocolate red velvet cake served in a heart-shaped pan. Check out the full menu here.
