Living in Charlotte isn’t getting cheaper, so we scouted four apartment complexes with lower than average rent.
State of play: Average rent in Charlotte is $1,522 a month, according to the latest data from RENTCafé, which takes into account a number of factors, including location and unit size. And many neighborhoods’ average rent is well above the city-wide average.

Presley Uptown (Uptown)
Average Uptown rent: $2,039
Presley has units available right now starting at $1,182. Here’s what’s available now and what it costs:
- Studio: $1,182+
- 1 bed: $1,602+
- 2 bed: $1,897+
Highlights: Walkable to Uptown and midtown (Hello, Target), skyline views, dog park, rooftop lounge, gym.
