Several studios around Charlotte are offering sweet sign-on deals to get people back to the gym these days, including free classes and discounted memberships.
State of play: The the pandemic caused many Charlotte fitness studios — like Barre Code, Yoga One and Flywheel — to close for good. But newcomers have also emerged from the ashes, like SkyCYCLE, Charlotte’s first outdoor cycling studio.
- Fitness studios have had to pivot to stay afloat, from offering more virtual classes to extending generous new client specials.
Here are 15 local gyms currently offering sign-on deals.

Y2
Workout style: Their signature style is a faster paced, challenging hot yoga, with a mix of slower flowers on the weekly schedule as well.
Deals: 3 weeks for $39.
Locations: Cotswold (274 S Sharon Amity Rd. #1) and Dilworth (2230 Park Rd.).
Corepower
Workout style: Corepower has a variety of yoga classes, including Vinyasa flows, sculpt classes, hot yoga, restorative yoga and meditation classes.
Deals: 2 weeks free.
Location: Midtown (209 S. Kings Dr.) and Park Road (540 Brandywine Rd.).
Pure Barre (Myers Park)
Workout style: Traditional Pure Barre classes involve small but mighty movements focused on arms, abs, seat and thighs. They also have more cardio-based classes, intensives and resistance classes.
Deals: Two weeks for $79 or 3 months unlimited for $135 a month + 20% off the first month.
Location: Myers Park (603 Providence Rd.)
Hilliard Studio Method
Workout style: HSM offers high-energy resistance training classes focused on sculpting and strength.
Deals: $15 first class (normally $27) and $150 for pack of 10 classes (normally $230)

Fit Atelier
Workout style: They have six unique workout classes that focus on aerobics and sculpting using a variety of techniques from boxing to Bosu balls to mini trampolines.

Workout style: OTF circuit-style classes have three sections: treadmill, floor and rowers. You’ll cycle through various strength and cardio exercises.

Workout style: Cyclebar is an indoor cycling class.

Workout style: The family-friendly gym has everything from group fitness classes to swimming pools to free weights. The Dowd location even has a rooftop track with skyline views.
