University City Food Truck Friday at the Armored Cow Brewing at 8821 JW Clay Boulevard #1: Head to Armored Cow to enjoy food trucks, live music, and local craft vendors. This week’s truck lineup includes: Another!? Food Truck, Hot Tamale, Mike’s Vegan CookOut, Cremoso Cheesecake Company, and Scratch Kitchen Clt, plus vendors from the Starving Artist Market, and music from Hidden Ragalia. 5-9pm. Free. Details.

Benefit India Yoga Fundraiser at Khali Yoga Center 1210 East 36th St.: Some of Charlotte’s most beloved yoga instructors will join forces to lead a team-taught yoga session. The class will be limited to 67 people, on a first-come, first-serve basis. 5:30-7pm. Free with a donation to the COVID crisis in India. Details.

Skates and Bubbles at Unknown Brewing at 1327 S Mint St.: Screamin’ Wheels and Blades is back with another pop-up roller rink for South End Wine and Hops Fest. Go for a spin on the outdoor skating rink, enjoy jams from DJ Mekoh, then sip on some tasty sparkling wines. 6-7:3opm. $40 general admission, admission + skate rental $45. Details.

River Jam at the Whitewater Center 5000 Whitewater Center Pkwy.: Bring a blanket or a chair and head to the River Jam stage to enjoy some live music by the whitewater rapids. Taking the stage this Friday is alt-indie group Yam Yam, and on Saturday they’ll have Austin Plaine. 6:30pm. Free, $6 parking. Details.

Knights vs. Norfolk Tides at Truist Field 324 S Mint St.: Head to Truist Field to watch the Knights take on the Tides. Post-game fireworks, too. 7:04pm. $10-$20. Details.

Cordovas and Great Peacock at Heist Brewery at 1030 Woodward Ave.: Heist Brewery has Nashville-based Americana group Great Peacock, along with co-headliner group Cordovas. 7-11pm. $20. Details.

Charlotte Symphony: Branford Marsalis Plays Ibert: Belk Theater will welcome a live audience for the first time since March 2020! Jazz legend and three-time Grammy Award winner Branford Marsalis will join the orchestra in performing Ibert’s Concertino da camera and Schulhoff’s jazz-inspired Hot Sonate. Uptown Sweat at 408 N. Tryon Street: Uptown Sweat is a free, all-day fitness event at Victoria Yards in Uptown where workouts are set to a live DJ and led by six of Charlotte’s best fitness instructors. 9am to 2pm. Free, registration required. Details.

Spring Goal Hike Series at Reedy Creek 2900 Rocky River Rd.: Take in nature’s beauty and reflect on your goals during this unique hiking experience. Your group will hike the trails at Reedy Creek then stop halfway for a mini-coaching session to put you in the mindset to tackle your goals. Walk a Mile in Her Shoes Fundraiser: Now in its 10th year, this playful event is where men walk a mile in high-heeled shoes to raise awareness about domestic and sexual violence in the Charlotte community.
