Rent a movie theater and watch an Oscar-winning film for $99

Regular showings are picking back up, but many theaters also offer private screening rentals, starting at $99.

Why it matters: The movie industry is in rough shape after over a year of the COVID-19 pandemic, but private screenings have helped keep cinemas afloat.

How it works: All AMC theaters are offering daily private screenings for $99-$249, depending on the film selected.

Details: Rent out a theater at Park Terrace on Friday-Sunday; at Carolina Pavilion on Monday-Thursday; or at Northlake any day of the week.

• Choose from over 40 movies from Oscar-winning “Promising Young Woman” for $99 to blockbuster “Godzilla Vs. Kong” for $249 to the classic “Back to the Future” for $99.

Of note: Cinemark Movie Bistro also offers private rentals of more than 40 movies for $99-$149.
