Leatherman has 34 automatic-teeing stations with mats (10 covered and 10 on second-story sun deck), a spacious Bermuda grass hitting area, large putting green, chipping and short game area, and a putt-putt course.
Hours: Open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday. The exact address is 5845 S. Tryon, about a 10 minute drive from Uptown without traffic.
Pricing: $6 age 5 to 15, $8 age 16 to 64, $6 age 65+, and free for under 5 with adult paid round.

This indoor 9-hole putt-putt course midcentury-modern lounge recently opened in the heart of Plaza Midwood. “We’re most excited about creating a country club environment without the country club price for a fully inclusive space,” says Ashleigh Gadd, who owns Stroke with her husband, Scott.
Hours: Open 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday; and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The exact address is 1318 Pecan Ave, just off Central Ave.
Pricing: $10 per round. There are two ways to play each hole — a technical way and an easy way (good for kids or horrible golfers).

Mr. Putty’s hosted the 2019 U.S. Pro Mini Golf US Open. The course features a signature a waterfall hole, a 111-foot hole, and hidden pipe shots.
Hours: Open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The exact address is 2333 Dam Rd, Tega Cay, SC.
Pricing: $9 age 5 to 12, $10 age 13 to 59, $7 senior/police/military, and kids 4 and under are free. Rates include unlimited play for the day.

Paradise Valley Par-3 has an 18-hole course (all holes under 100 yards) and a putt-putt course named The Lost Duffer. The course has a 19th century mining theme in honor of Charlotte’s gold mining past.
Hours: Open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily in most seasons and 9 a.m. until dark (5 p.m. or so) later in the fall/winter. Call for exact hours if you’re going in the evening. The address is 110 Barton Creek Dr.
Pricing: $6 per round, which includes a free fountain drink.

This pirate and nautical themed miniature golf course is located about 30 minutes from Uptown in Indian Land, S.C. They recently opened their “Castaways Beer & Wine Garden” with yard games for a post round drink.
Hours: Open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday. The exact address is 10001 Charlotte Highway.
Pricing: $7 ages 4 to 12, $9 for adults, $7 for seniors, free for kids under 4 and police officers, teachers, firefighters, and veterans/active military. Rates include unlimited play for the day.
(6) Lake Norman Miniature Golf
The family-owned (Irby family) course features caves and waterfalls — and make sure to grab a signature Sno-ball after the round.
Hours: Open noon to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, noon to 10 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, and Sunday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The exact location is 18639 Statesville Rd.
Pricing: $6.50 age 4 to 12, $8 for adults, and 3 and under free with a paid adult. You can also get $1 off your round if you play early. They also offer packages with their other attractions like laser maze and rock climbing.
(7) Frankie’s Fun Park
This 20-acre amusement park recently opened in Huntersville and has three 18-hole miniature golf courses. You’ll also find go-karts, spinning tea cups, and other rides outside. The 84,000-square-foot indoor portion of Frankie’s Fun Park has 24 bowling lanes, a restaurant, bar, laser tag, three-story playground, ride that drops 30 feet, LED-illuminated bumper cars and a massive arcade (you can redeem arcade points for physical prizes).
