bargarita noda new restaurant tacos
Bargarita, a new restaurant serving margaritas, tacos, and barbecue, is now open in the former Solstice Tavern space in NoDa.
The restaurant and bar is part of the Mason Jar Group, which operates four other establishments in the Charlotte area, including TILT and The Union.
General manager Franke Jones and managing partner Rachel Kamen created the concept, menu, and design. They hope Bargarita becomes a new neighborhood hangout with a laid-back atmosphere and a focus on festive drinks.
Margaritas: As the name suggests, Bargarita is all about the margs. Choose from craft margaritas ($9-$11) like strawberry jalapeño or Champagne lemonade, or order a frozen margarita ($8). There also are tequila flights.

Food: Bargarita’s food menu includes four types of tacos (brisket, banh mi, BBQ chicken, and pork) and four “bargarritos,” which are the restaurant’s spin on burritos. If you’re really hungry, you can order the taco board, which comes with 10 tacos for $45.99.
Changes: You’ll notice some changes at Bargarita from the building’s days as Solstice Tavern, which closed in late 2018.
For one, the building has been painted gray to make way for a new mural by artists Matt Moore and Matt Hooker, which will be complete by early September.
New windows were also added to bring in more light, and Solstice’s back patio is no longer part of the restaurant. The land is privately owned and was formerly leased to Solstice.
Location: Bargarita is located at 3221 North Davidson Street in NoDa.
Hours: Open 4-11 p.m. on weekdays and 12-11 p.m. on weekends.
