Formerly on the 27th floor of Hines Charlotte Plaza, Bentley’s on 27, now shortened to Bentley’s, has relocated to Piedmont Row in SouthPark.
The French-American restaurant has taken over the old Georges Brasserie space at 4620 Piedmont Row Drive, Suite 110. Owners Jim and Kay Emad opened Bentley’s 16 years ago after decades working in Charlotte’s restaurant industry.
Executive chef James Loftus says the food and drink menu will be very similar to Bentley’s Uptown location with classical French cuisine and some modern touches. “The biggest change is probably that we no longer have the amazing view that we had from the 27th floor,” Loftus says.

Vibe: The 9,000-square-foot space is chic and contemporary and includes the same signature collection of hand-blown glass featured in the previous location. The restaurant has four separate areas including the main dining room, which seats about 175, a spacious bar that can seat 18, and two private dining rooms.
“Some of our regulars say that it is even more beautiful than the former view from uptown,” says Loftus.
I can actually attest to this — I celebrated my 23rd birthday at the new Bentley’s location last week, and it is stunning.
Food: The dinner menu includes high-end dishes like caviar, oysters, steak and tuna tartare, calamari steak, lamb chops, filet mignon, Alaskan Red King crab legs, and more. The newest addition to Bentley’s is a separate brunch menu offered on Saturdays and Sundays.
The upscale restaurant has also adapted its menu to offer takeout during the pandemic. “We have shifted our model to offer some takeout menus to drive additional revenue lost due to the pandemic, which we have never done before since we are so focused on our tableside experience,” he says.
Drinks: You can expect an assortment of wines, specialty beers, and craft cocktails. Popular drinks include the Skyhigh Lemonade ($12) and the Berkley Sapphire ($13).
Hours: Bentley’s is open for dinner Monday through Saturday, 4:30-10 p.m.; and for brunch on Saturday and Sunday, 11:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
