Fun fact: That’s where the designer and his wife were married.

Listing agent and current owner Mark Guthrie says they decided on a $200,000 price decrease because of comparable sales in the area. The average price for single-family homes in the 28207 zip code, where this home is located, are slightly down from last year — from about $1.48 million in 2019 to $1.46 million during the first six months of 2020.

This section of Myers Park — including the tree-lined streets — was designed by architect John Nolen and his assistant Earle Sumner Draper in 1911 as one of the city’s first “suburbs.” It’s always been home to some of the city’s most expensive homes.
