216 cottage place
This Eastover abode was completely transformed from a dated duplex to a West Coast cool cottage in 2015. The home, now on the market, is owned and designed by Hillary Rondero of Millicent Design Studio and her husband.
The exact address is 216 Cottage Place (street name checks out), and it’s asking $2,295,000.
About the house: The house has 4 beds and 3.5 baths at 3,449 square feet, plus a 502-square-foot guest house. Prior to renovation in 2015, the property was a dated duplex. Rondero worked with luxury builder David Dubois to create a chic but casual home, inspired by her and her husband’s LA roots.
The house has been featured in Better Homes and Gardens, The Magnolia Journal, Charlotte Home Design and Décor, and other home design publications.
The luxury market: At nearly $2.3 million, 216 Cottage Place comes with a hefty price tag. But listing agent Steven Chaberek of HM Properties says that’s no problem — despite Charlotte’s economic downturn, this house caught the attention of high-end buyers within days of listing.
“The luxury market is strong, and this will sell quickly,” Chaberek says.
Here’s a look around.
