You can now choose any cut of steak or salmon from the fresh case at New York Butcher Shoppe, add two sides, and they’ll serve it to you at their wine bar. You pay for the retail cost of the steak and a $15 plate charge.

They have more than a dozen cuts of meat, from certified Angus to prime to wagyu, to dry-aged.

“Just pick out your steak,” says co-owner Antonio Tillery. “We have steaks from as little as $8 for a Denver steak to as high as $40-$50 for dry-aged steaks.”

“We feel like this is something truly unique and different from anything else in Charlotte and the price point cannot be matched for the quality,” Tillery says. “Consider you could pick out a 14-ounce Prime New York Strip Steak, pay approximately $17, plus the $15 plate charge. You just landed an incredible meal for (about) $30. That’s not going to happen at any steakhouse anywhere.”

The deal is available at both lunch and dinner.

Side options: You get to choose two sides (included in the $15 fee). Options are: roasted Brussels, truffle fries, roasted potatoes, and roasted veggies. Sides may rotate, and look for them to add baked mac and cheese and grilled asparagus.

Background: New York Butcher Shoppe is a mini-chain with 13 locations in the Southeast. This location is owned by Tillery, former executive chef and regional director of Maggiano’s Little Italy, and Brian Miller, the former general manager and managing partner of Maggiano’s. The two helped open Maggiano’s in SouthPark 16 years ago.
