MADabolic secures growth capital, looking to expand from 10 to 35 locations by the end of 2020

ZGrowth has acquired controlling interest in MADabolic, Inc.

“Together we look to create a fitness franchise network unlike any other on the market,” Brandon told the Agenda. “Most young franchise concepts, no matter how good that concept is, will never grow nationally because they lack financial support, an understanding of franchising and struggle to sell franchises. We believe that the partnership is exactly what we needed. We never doubted our concept. We know that it works.”

The workout: MADabolic is a strength and conditioning, interval-based fitness concept. Class sizes are about 20-25 people. “From the moment I met Brandon and Kirk and saw what they had built, I knew we needed to be a part of this brand,” said Rick Del Sontro, CEO of ZGrowth Partners. “They have developed a unique and highly sought-after workout.”

“I love MADabolic because it’s not just about picking up the heaviest weights, but perfecting, and being super intentional about my movement,” said MADabolic member Garret Tichy. “Now that I understand how to do the movements well I’m less prone to injury, stronger than ever, and have had really great physical gains.”

Scale: “Successfully getting to 10 locations was one thing,” Brandon said. “What we lacked frankly were the skills to build out a large and successful franchise operation. Really they are two businesses. We felt like ZGrowth was the perfect partner for us.” Charlotte will remain a franchise location owned by Brandon and Kirk and look for them to possible open new locations within the Charlotte metro market.
