StretchLab opening second location in Dilworth as “early success exceeding expectations”

In just two months the SouthPark location has signed 330 members — 300 were sold within the first two weeks.

“Stacey and I were confident this concept would be a great fit for Charlotte but no doubt early success is exceeding our expectations,” owner Steve Hitzemann told the Agenda.

How it works: First a “Flexologist” will greet you to discuss your current flexibility and injuries, then you get a custom stretch on their designer benches.  After that you get a one-on-one assisted stretch (the only weird part is that it all happens in the same room, but you’ll get over that quickly).

They’ll save your preferences/notes on your injuries so you can get the same custom stretch every time.

Who it’s for: Their stretching methods are focused on maintaining a healthy, injury free and free-feeling body, so really anybody can use it.

“Based on client feedback and member demographics over our first two months at SouthPark, continues to reinforce StretchLab is a fit across a wide array of individuals…recovery and injury prevention for athletes, help remove aches and pains that come with tightness as we get older, get people feeling better so they can start moving again. Youngest member around 10, oldest in their 80s,” Steven said.

Pricing: They do 25- and 50-minute stretches, and today you can get 50 percent off of a single stretch ($29 for 25 minutes and $49 for 50).

Membership packages include four or eight stretches per month, and pricing for memberships starts at $149 per month for four 25-minute stretches. StretchLab also offers a 50-minute group stretch (capped at six participants) membership for $79.
