Girl Tribe Co. launched their newest game-day collection today, so you don’t have to worry about what you’re wearing to Fan Fest.
“When my husband and I started dating in 2008, he bought me a Julius Peppers jersey. I wore it, but I felt out of my own skin. After talking to other women, I found out that’s a really strange shared experience. … I would never wear a jersey normally,” Sarah Baucom, Girl Tribe’s co-owner said.
Fast forward to 2015 when the Panthers had just clinched the NFC Championship title. “I got home, and it was just such a fun time in the city. I became a much bigger fan, and I thought ‘we gotta make shirts.'”
Sarah and her business partner, Carrie Barker, made T-shirts just two weeks before the Super Bowl, and they ended up selling 7,000 of them. Now the brand launches a new Panthers-themed collection every football season.
This year’s collection: For the 2019 football season, there are tons of edgy T-shirts in sizes XS-XXXL, earrings, stickers, sweatshirts, tanks, hats, glitter, stadium-approved bags and more.
Cotton and Clay Earrings, Alleyway Market Earrings, Policy Handbags, Shimmer Down Glitter and Raven + Riley Earrings are all local companies Girl Tribe worked with for the collection, and local muralists/artists Bree Stallings, Jen Hill and Kristin Dills were pulled in to help create some really unique tees.
Pricing: Shirts are $28-$62.
Where to get it: You can shop the collection online now, and the Girl Tribe storefront opens at 10 a.m. The exact address is 1800 Camden Road, Suite 102. The first 50 shoppers in store and online get a free fun foam finger.
