Flower Child is also a safe place for the gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan eaters out there.

In addition to the many vegetarian options on the menu, Flower Child also has as a number of gluten-free, dairy-free or vegan selections that make it a haven for a lot of people.

If you’re gluten-free or vegan, try the “Vietnamese Crunch” salad from the wide lineup of salads on the Flower Child menu. This salad mixes savoy cabbage and romaine with quinoa, tomato, peppadew, avocado, pineapple, cashews, Thai basil, cilantro and mint. A spicy lemongrass vinaigrette completes the healthy and, more importantly, gluten-free and vegan masterpiece.

(2) Flower Child’s upbeat, chic vibe will be right at home in South End — and their patio will be a huge hit.

Inside you’ll find bright colorful decor throughout. The patio is packed with yellow umbrellas and sits along the rail trail.

Toasted sesame and red chili hoisin sauce complete the dish, which can be paired with shaved beef or chicken, grilled tofu, steak or salmon for an extra charge ranging from $4-$7 on top of the $10.75 base bowl cost.

Another favorite bowl is their “Glow Bowl” with spicy sweet potato noodles, vegetables, jalapeño coconut milk, and sunflower butter. All of the bowls are vegetarian but have an option to add protein for an additional charge.

Flower Child’s menu includes a “Tomato Toast” ($8) that is ideal for those who like to have their vegetables with a hearty piece of bread.

This healthy toast comes with sliced tomatoes on top of goat cheese and a crunchy slice of seeded bread. An ample dusting of pistachio pesto and sea salt covers the tomatoes, adding delightful flavor that enriches the taste of the ripe tomatoes.

Another favorite at Flower Child is their “Crushed Avocado Toast” ($8). This go-to features a piece of crispy seeded bread, a thick layer of smashed avocado, a soft egg, black sesame seeds and tasty white cheddar cheese.
