Now Open: Colorado-based Rush Bowls serving up meals-in-a-bowl and smoothies next to Jeni’s in NoDa

Rush Bowls, a fast-casual bowl and smoothie spot, is in now open in NoDa next to Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams.

“We are way excited to be part of NoDa, because it has the best vibe of any neighborhood in CLT,” owner Ben Wilhelm told the Agenda. “Rush Bowls was born for NoDa!”

Ben plans to open three Rush Bowls locations and is currently evaluating space in South End and Uptown.

Bowls: Rush offers more than 20 signature bowls ($7.95). Popular bowls include the Beach Bowl with acai, banana, mango and guava juice topped with organic granola and honey and the Peanut Butter & Jelly Bowl with banana, strawberry, milk choice, frozen yogurt (optional) and peanut butter topped with organic granola, peanut butter, jelly and honey.

Smoothies: Rush Bowls offers about 20 signature smoothies ($6.95) including the popular Super Smoothie with banana, strawberry, kale/spinach (optional), milk choice, frozen yogurt (optional), peanut butter, chocolate whey protein (over 30 grams) and the Pink Dragon with pitaya, mango, strawberry, banana, raspberry juice and chocolate sauce.

Details: Hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The exact location is 416 E. 36th St. — the same development as Idlewild, Jeni’s and Wooden Robot (opening soon).
