Why you should go: Monday’s lineup includes Impulse, an interactive seesaw display, In Bloom, a new exhibit at Sozo, jazz music and Intrude, an illuminated giant rabbit display. Throughout the week there will be more than 130 performances, exhibits, installations and arts-related events will be going on throughout the city as a celebration of arts and culture. Most events are free, but some events require tickets, like Anthony Hamilton.

Shifting Gears: Uptown Cycle Track Ride

Why you should go: It’s been a long time coming, but the Uptown protected cycle track is finally open. You’ll get a 30-minute guided cruise on the track and learn a little more about. Bring your own bike if you can — rental bikes are limited.

And if you’re not a golf fan, you will be after you go. This is one of the most fun events of the year, from the golf to the top-notch people watching to sippin’ drinks walking around the beautiful course. Unfortunately, Tiger Woods will not play in this week’s Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow. But don’t worry, we’ll still have Phil Mickelson, Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose and Rickie Fowler teeing it up.
