The exterior has a huge two-story piazza with gorgeous columns symmetrically framing the front door and is made of white wood, and the interior is filled with 1920s charm.

The McNinch House is designated as a historical property, and according to Charlotte Historic Landmarks Commission documents, “when Frank Ramsay McNinch (1873-1950) commissioned Thies-Smith Realty Company to construct the house at 2727 Sharon Lane, he envisioned practicing law in Charlotte and living in the quiet of the country, surrounded by great oaks and peach orchards he had cultivated since purchasing the 43.4 acre tract of land in 1913.” McNinch served as mayor of Charlotte before pursuing politics in D.C.

The address of the historic home is 2401 Sharon Lane. It’s on a 3-acre lot, and the home is 4,661 square feet with four bedrooms and two and a half baths.

It’s listed at $3,995,000 and can be sold as is or divided into nine different lots. Jocelyn Rose of HM Properties has the listing for the house.

The foyer is one of my favorite spaces. The staircase is simple and elegant, and the wallpaper feels sophisticated and cheerful — it aptly sets the tone for what to expect throughout.

I love how thoughtfully upgraded the home is. You can tell it’s been well kept and adapted to meet modern needs, but all of the charm you’d hope to be behind the door is present in every room.

From beautiful built ins to fire place settings with just right amount of detail and ornamentation, this home feels like it belongs on the pages of Southern Living.

The house has tons of natural light and warm colors.

And as much as the giant front porch and back patio (and private garden that we’ll get to later) beg you to spend time outdoors, you’re met with warmth and sun inside, too.

The outdoor space is truly beautiful. Something about it makes me want an Arnold Palmer and/or to host a garden party.
