View Renderings: New two-story development coming to popular intersection in Villa Heights
A popular corner in Villa Heights will be redeveloped into 20,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and creative space.
Villa Heights continues to boom. Millions will go into redeveloping a former electronics store into a fancy two-story building with spots for shops and restaurants (or a brewery), including outdoor patio space.
Background: Developer LPA Urban acquired the two-story former Carphonics Sight & Sound building at 2501 The Plaza in February.
Timing: Renovations will start later this year and are expected to be complete by Q1 2020.
Units: Expect tenant spaces to feature high ceilings, original brick columns and covered patios. Some units will include skylights or pitched window openings. If you’re looking for space, reach out to James Craig with LPA Urban and have him wine and dine you ([email protected]).
Developer: “This is a great opportunity to breathe new life back into an iconic corner of The Plaza,” said Mark Miller with LPA Urban. “The location sits between two of Charlotte’s fastest growing urban neighborhoods in NoDa and Plaza Midwood. Similar to the shops on Selwyn Avenue or Providence Road Sundries, we think it will be a special pocket for the surrounding area.”
Exact location: 2501 The Plaza, on the corner of Plaza and Duncan Avenue.
