Now Open: 5 quick things to know about the new Common Market South End

After what seems like forever, Common Market South End is now open on Tremont in the same development as Bang Bang Burgers and Zeppelin.

Hours are Monday 7 a.m. – 10 p.m., Tuesday to Thursday 7 a.m. – midnight, Friday and Saturday 7 a.m. – 2 am. and Sunday 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.

Here are 5 quick things to know about Common Market South End — which is one part bar, one bar market, one part deli and one part coffee shop-style hangout.

(1) It’s huuuge.

The space is massive. There are seven different hangout areas — which I love.

(2) The most interesting seating at Common Market South End is the five-seat balcony overlooking the outdoor space and the tall bench on the patio.

It’s a like a bench throne.

(3) There are 29 signature sandwiches to choose from — or you can build your own.

The most popular sandwich is their spicy turkey grilled panini with turkey, red bell pepper, red onion, banana peppers, pepperjack and spicy brown mustard ($7).

Common Market South End also offers soups and salads.

(4) Yes, Common Market South End serves breakfast and has your coffee covered.

You can also build your own breakfast sandwich (bread, wrap or bagel) with 11 cheese options and 7 protein options.

(5) You have plenty of beer and wine options at Common Market South End.

Inside the store, you’ll find a large beer cooler, wine area including a sizable cooler of whites and roses and a 12-seat bar with about 15 craft beers on tap.

Definitely a more exotic draft list — none of the usual Charlotte staples like OMB’s Copper, Legion’s Juicy Jay or NoDa’s Hop Drop.
