Max and Lola, named for the owners’ dogs, features exterior murals by Rosalia Torres-Weiner and the funky interior chandeliers were sourced from Sleepy Poet Antique Mall.
They’ve preserved the old Gulflex signage from the building’s days as a mechanic shop, and the three roll-up garage doors will create an open indoor-outdoor environment with access to a front patio area and forthcoming side patio.
The offering includes a wine room, charcuterie fridge, 16 taps, assorted provisions and a huge beer cooler.
Max and Lola can’t wait to hang out with you here. Just look at them under their sign.

For reference, Max & Lola’s is located across the street from newly opened Bardo Restaurant and forthcoming Yume.
Pasta and Provisions also has a new location gearing up to open a couple blocks down the street. Basically there’s a whole lot of action on this block right now.
