Taste of Charlotte<br/>June 8-10 | Uptown | Free | Details

Why you should go: This 3-day festival has it all — samples from 100+ local restaurants, 4 stages’ worth of live entertainment, street performances, kids’ activities and more. Summer Yoga Fest

Why you should go: NC Yoga Bar and OrthoCarolina are teaming up for a morning of free outdoor yoga with a live DJ, local vendors and a raffle for prizes.

Whole Foods Uptown Grand Opening

June 13 | 400 E. Stonewall Street | 9 a.m. | Details

Why you should go: Uptown’s first full-sized grocery store is reason to celebrate with samples and product demonstrations. This location will feature a signature hot and cold bars, a pizza bar, burrito and sandwich stations, a Korean/Latin fusion station and more.

Heroes Con

Why you should go: This convention was founded in the ’80s by Heroes Aren’t Hard to Find comic shop owner Shelton Drum and now sees fans, professionals and exhibitors alike from all over the country come together under one roof.

Sol Fest

June 15-16 | U.S. National Whitewater Center | Details

Why you should go: The weekend kicks off with yoga and River Jam on Friday night before forging full steam ahead on Saturday with plenty of craft beer samples, the Brew Dash 6K ($30-$60; register), Catawba River races, acro yoga and more. 

Craft, Crab & Cocktails 2018

June 16 | Front lawn of Mint Museum Randolph | 6-9 p.m. | $100-$2,500 | Tickets

Why you should go: The museum’s inaugural summer soirée will see a buffet dinner brimming with Southern fare, craft beer, cocktails, live music and both silent and live art auctions. Proceeds benefit The Mint Museum.

That 70’s Knight

Why you should go: Break out your best tie-dye – in addition to Thirsty Thursday ($3 domestic draft, $5 craft drafts, $1 small sodas), the Knights are also hosting That 70’s Knight with a guest appearance by That 70’s Show‘s Don Stark this month. The first 2,000 in attendance will receive a Michael Kopech #DisKopech t-shirt.

Margarita Wars

Why you should go: A handful of the best bartenders in the city will come together to compete for the bragging rights that go along with making the Best and Most Original margaritas at this rooftop festival. Expect plenty of samples, food and live mariachi bands.

This is Charlotte – Black Owned Bar Crawl

Why you should go: The inaugural event will feature 13+ black-owned bars, lounges and nightclubs. General admission includes an event t-shirt, wristband for free access to all venues, bar crawl map and black-owned business guide and exclusive specials and discounts. Red White & Brew Fest 2018
