Whole Foods Uptown Grand Opening

Why you should go: This convention was founded in the ’80s by Heroes Aren’t Hard to Find comic shop owner Shelton Drum and now sees fans, professionals and exhibitors alike from all over the country come together under one roof.

Sol Fest
June 15-16 | U.S. National Whitewater Center | Details
Why you should go: The weekend kicks off with yoga and River Jam on Friday night before forging full steam ahead on Saturday with plenty of craft beer samples, the Brew Dash 6K ($30-$60; register), Catawba River races, acro yoga and more.

Craft, Crab & Cocktails 2018
June 16 | Front lawn of Mint Museum Randolph | 6-9 p.m. | $100-$2,500 | Tickets
Why you should go: The museum’s inaugural summer soirée will see a buffet dinner brimming with Southern fare, craft beer, cocktails, live music and both silent and live art auctions. Proceeds benefit The Mint Museum.

That 70’s Knight

This is Charlotte – Black Owned Bar Crawl

Why you should go: The inaugural event will feature 13+ black-owned bars, lounges and nightclubs. General admission includes an event t-shirt, wristband for free access to all venues, bar crawl map and black-owned business guide and exclusive specials and discounts. Red White & Brew Fest 2018
