Comida is now open in Myers Park.
If you’re just catching up, Comida was previously located in the heart of Plaza Midwood, but after it debuted to a brutal 2.6 Yelp rating it never recovered to fully find its footing in that neighborhood.
Comida has now moved into littleSpoon’s space in Myers Park near Selwyn Pub.
Alesha Stegemeyer owns both Comida and littleSpoon, so the economics of the move make complete sense. littleSpoon dominates the hip breakfast, brunch and lunch scene. But it doesn’t do dinner. So Comida will be able to make use of the space for dinner service and as a cocktail bar.
littleSpoon has also reopened and hours will remain 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. They’re closed on Monday.
After a few soft openings this weekend, Comida opens tonight, Monday, March 19th. They’re closed on Sunday.
Comida’s hours are 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays and they’ll likely stay open until around midnight on weekends. They’re still figuring out exact hours, so this is subject to change.
The major changes to the littleSpoon + Comida space are the 10 seat bar and improvements to the popular outdoor seating
One thing I enjoy about the space, it’s that there are several different niches that give it personality.

Here’s a look Comida’s new menu — which interestingly enough, no longer includes individual tacos
Comida is now going for the sharable plates strategy, which fits the neighborhood and the opportunity.
I’m a fan of the new menu.
