#3 Blue Blaze Brewing. The super chill westside brewery is located right off the greenway and has a primo lineup of rocking chairs on the front patio. They’ve also got several fire pits and free s’mores fixings so you can recreate a summer backyard experience.
#2 Seoul Food Meat Company. When you want to chill, sip beer and also play games, Seoul Food’s adult playground and outdoor bar is the place to be. It doesn’t hurt that they’ve got $0.25 local craft beers this Sunday, February 18 for their 2 Year Luau Party.
#1 Hoppin’. The self-serve craft beer and wine bar throws open the garage door to create a breezy, indoor/outdoor setting where the patio flows right into the tap room. They’ve got lawn games and picnic tables on the main patio out back and there’s a smaller bonus second-story patio upstairs.

#3 Dilworth Tasting Room. Dilworth has some of my favorite patios – Summit Room, Kid Cashew, JJ’s Red Hots – just to name a few. I love the intimacy of Dilworth Tasting Room. It’s a perfect spot for a casual date or to catch up with friends. I hosted a buddy’s 30th birthday party in DTR’s courtyard patio and it was awesome.
#2 Whiskey Warehouse. Sure Fahrenheit, City Lights and Merchant & Trade get all the rooftop bar attention, but the view from Whiskey Warehouse in Plaza Midwood is outstanding.
#1 RuRu’s. This Myers Park hangout feels hidden. Their outside bar has about a dozen seats and there are a ton of tables on the patio. The food is also underrated, IMO. Oh and if you go to RuRu’s on a Monday, they do $5 House Margaritas and House Skinny Margaritas.

#3 Brawley’s Beverage. Low-key and family friendly. Good for solo chilling or groups.
#2 Ed’s Tavern. Great use of indoor-outdoor space, and the recent renovations only made the patio even bigger and better.
#1 Selwyn Pub. If any patio encapsulates Charlotte, this is it. Selwyn Pub manages to be popular with virtually every age group, and if you go enough you’re guaranteed a celebrity sighting (I’ve seen MJ and Gov. McCrory, personally). Good year-round.
