Upscale urban market lovers rejoice: Reid’s Fine Foods just signed a lease for an Uptown location. They’re targeting a grand opening this spring.
Reid’s will be located in a 2,100-square-foot space on the first floor of 121 West Trade, a 32-story office building at the corner of Trade and Tryon in Uptown Charlotte.
It’s the space formerly occupied by Sandwich Club, across Trade Street from the Marriott.
I knew Reid’s was evaluating space and I honestly thought they’d go for more square footage and a spot with signage — similar to what Amelie’s did in Uptown.

Reid’s Uptown will offer breakfast and lunch for both dine-in and to-go ordering, house-made fresh foods, a wine shop, catering services, and gift baskets.

Go with the Rotisserie Turkey Breast Sandwich from Reid’s – house roasted turkey breast, arugula, tomato, muenster, Green Goddess on sourdough ($8.99).
This will be Reid’s third Charlotte location; the other two are in Myers Park and SouthPark.

“We are looking forward to bringing Reid’s Fine Foods back to Uptown. The growth and development underway in that area of Charlotte is exciting, and this location is certainly part of our plans to continue expansion of Reid’s in the Carolinas,” says Tom Coker, owner of Reid’s. I’ve spoken with Tom several times – he’s a great guy, smart business leader and committed to his employees and their growth.
