After years of back-and-forth with the landlord of the little red house on North Davidson Street, Jimi Zuk and Joani Schulman’s Red House Café is finally serving dinner this weekend.
Both have experience in the food industry, having owned a carry-out restaurant and dessert business in New Jersey, but this is the pair’s first sit-down venture.

While they don’t yet have their alcohol permits, look for wine and beer to be added to the menu eventually.
For now, dinner will be served from a limited menu during the hours of 5 and 10 p.m. through Sunday. According to Schulman, they’ll take another look at the situation early next week and determine if they’re ready to move into their full business hours (11 a.m.-10 p.m. weekdays and 11 a.m.-11 p.m. on weekends).
