Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden’s holiday light display is now open for the season

Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden will be aglow with 600,000 twinkling lights and illuminated displays through the end of the year.

The annual light display, Holidays at the Garden, is open daily 5-9 p.m. from November 17 to December 31 (closed Christmas Day).

Tickets are $14.95 for adults, $13.95 for seniors 60+, $8.95 for kids 2-12 and free for kids under 2. (Save a couple bucks by buying online in advance.)

In addition to the exterior lights, the Great Hall features festive indoor decor, live music and a towering orchid tree.

This is where to go to warm up once the temperatures really drop.

Inside you’ll also find a holiday gift shop and a concession stand with hot cocoa, wine, soda and light snacks.

The main experience is a self-guided walk through the garden displays.

Horse-drawn carriage rides are offered Thursday – Sunday 5:30-8:30 p.m. (as well as December 18-20) and a free garden tram will run on days without carriage rides.

There’s no restaurant on site but food trucks will be posted up daily at the outdoor pavilion. You can also bring a picnic dinner (but outside alcohol is not allowed).

Here’s a look at what to expect:
